Tour De Stones River

Sunday, I decided to talk a walk along the the Stones River Greenway that connects to my apartment complex. When I saw the view, I was absolutely stunned. I walked along the river for a couple of hours. Yesterday, the kids and I got their bikes and Chris and I rode the entire stretch. Of course, his 15 year old legs left me in the dust, but I eventually completed the trek.

If you live near Nashville and haven't tried the greenway, I highly recommend it. The easiest way to reach it is to take I40 east and exit on either Stewarts Ferry Pike or Old Hickory Blvd, turn right and turn on Bell Road to get to the Percy Priest Dam. The trail begins there. Currently, the greenway ends at Lebanon Road, but will eventually connect to another greenway that will take you all the way downtown.

It's an amazing beautiful place for walking or biking, picture taking or fishing. The most amazing part to me is a section where they built a wooden bridge. It's gorgeous. Definitely worth the trip.
